Meetings & Events

Choose Alaska Garden Gate B&B for your special event, meeting, or celebration. Our hall seats up to 56, or up to 70 for mingling. In the summer, the spacious outdoor deck with tables and chairs doubles the usable size of the hall. Small weddings, anniversary dinners, showers, retreats for non-profits, businesses and churches, and small conferences all work well at our location. We can host your meeting and provide any catering you need for meals, snacks, beverage service, or hors d’oeuvres.

We are proud to have hosted the Wasilla Chamber of Commerce board retreat, the Palmer Chamber of Commerce board retreat, Mat-Su Convention & Visitors Bureau events, Providence Hospital, ongoing meetings for the Mat-Su Health Foundation, and many other local businesses and nonprofit groups.

Round tables, each seating 8 people, have linen tablecloths and flowers on the tables. Padded, cloth banquet chairs are comfortable for meals and meetings. Meal service includes china plates, glassware and silverware.

A buffet line is an option for meal service, or we can also serve plated meals to each seated guest. A coffee bar allows each guest to make their own coffee, tea, or cold beverage to their liking.

For meetings or events, a 60” flat screen TV is available for presentations from an HDMI connection, and the B&B’s Wireless Internet is available at no extra charge.

The hall has a handicap accessible bathroom, and there is also a handicap ramp leading to the door of the hall for access from the parking lot.

Hall rental is $150 per day. In the summer season, the full, hot buffet breakfast is served from 7:30-9:30 a.m. for all guests, so daily Hall rental is available after that time. In the off-season, early morning meetings are no problem. Call for a quote on catering, and to schedule a viewing of the hall and the B&B property. We’d be happy to show you around! We also offer packages which include lodging at the B&B.

Sports Teams

In our Inn building, we offer five rooms set up with bunk beds for up to 5 people each. We’ve hosted most traveling high school and club sports teams, offering low-cost rates for students, to keep the costs down for the teams. With our additional cottages and apartments, we can accommodate a group of any size. The meeting hall is available if needed, and we can price the rates to either include the full, hot buffet breakfast, or for lodging-only for less. A kitchenette is available if teams want to bring in pizza or deli food to eat together. Since we are just minutes from the Valley high schools, but not along the loud highways, it’s a safe, quiet place for student athletes to get good rest. School buses can reach the B&B and turn around in our large circle driveway, and we can accept purchase orders for payment.

Retreats

Marriage encounter weekends, ladies’ Bible study getaways, and church leadership meetings have all used our hall and group areas. We can offer catering or you can use the kitchens associated with each lodging choice to make your own meals. The Inn rooms set up with bunk beds provide the most cost-efficient way to stay or you can combine our cottages and apartments for privacy and solitude, away from the group activities.

If it’s a hobby such as quilting, sewing or scrapbooking, our hall makes a great place to spread out and enjoy your craft together with your friends. We can cater meals for you or you can bring in your own foods.
